SAE London opened its doors in 1985 and has steadily grown to become one of the largest SAE Colleges in Europe. SAE London is located in East London just a short bus ride away from Old Street tube station on the Northern Line.

SAE London offers courses in audio engineering, film making, electronic music production and music business from certificate up to degree level. SAE has three other locations in the UK. There are few cities in the world where music production, media production in general, culture and business are concentrated massively. London is one of these. London is home to many recording studios, some of them world famous such as Abbey Road and Air Studios. Many movies, documentaries, ads and music videos are produced and shot in London. It is an economic hub with businesses supporting a vast media production infrastructure.

Apart from directly providing wide ranging employment opportunities, having such a large industry at our doorstep allows SAE to have strong links with the industry and to regularly invite industry professionals for guest lectures. London is also an exciting city to live in. Its cultural diversity is unique and is also reflected in the student body at SAE. It offers an extremely wide variety of cultural activities, ranging from live concerts, musicals and theatre to museums and galleries.

An essential principle of the training process that SAE provides is the availability of the high quality industry standard equipment for its students. Due to the large purchasing power of the SAE network we are able to provide our students with a complete selection of professional equipment. SAE London currently has 14 audio/film studios and numerous practical work areas available for our students to use.

Many SAE London graduates have established themselves in the industry they were trained for at SAE. We are proud that SAE audio graduates are working at every major London recording studio, as well as countless smaller studios, post production companies, live sound companies, broadcast facilities etc. other graduates have started their own businesses as freelance engineers, web-designers, multimedia producers or filmmakers. The SAE Alumni Association provides vital networking and development opportunities for our graduates. In the spirit of lifelong learning, graduates continue to gain knowledge and stay up to date through seminars and lectures organised by the Alumni Association. through regular meetings and conventions graduates get to network with peers, which is essential in the media production industries. the Association also provides access to job databases.

SAE is in Global Partnership with Middlesex University. the University has validated several degree programmes which provide a studypath from the SAE diploma programmes. SAE London is delivering and assessing these degree programmes whilst the University is awarding the qualification and is assuring the quality of our tuition and assessment.

Middlesex University is a multi-campus university based in North London. More than 22,000 students study a comprehensive range of subjects and programs leading to postgraduate awards, honours degrees, diplomas and certificates.
