Friday 12 March 2010, 10am & 2pm: "Record Production" guest lecture with Alan Shacklock

SAE is proud to be hosting Industry Legend Alan Shacklock for a special guest lecture open to the public.

Thrice-nominated for the Grammys and with multiple platinum, gold and silver discs to his name, Alan Shacklock will be talking about his career and experience at SAE London on Friday 12th March at 10am and at 2pm.

In his role as producer, he has worked on projects at Abbey Road in the London, Ocean Way in LA and Electric Lady Land in New York.

He has produced Roger Daltry (of The Who), The Alarm, Meatloaf, Jeff Beck, Mike Oldfield, Bonnie Tyler and Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber, as well as title tracks for major motion pictures; Quicksilver, Doc Hollywood and Buddy’s Song.

He was also a founder and board executive of the British Record Producers Guild alongside chairman Sir George Martin.

Alan Parsons Masterclass

The SAE Masterclass 2008 will be held at SAE London on the 6th of November 2008 and at SAE Berlin on the 7th and 8th.

For this masterclass we have none other than the legendary Alan Parsons, renowned for his work with The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Hollies, Al Stewart, Paul McCartney, the Alan Parsons project and so much more.

He will present a Mixdown Workshop based on his world-famous productions and will talk about his work in detail.

The seminar will provide an insight into Alan Parsons' workflow and give the group a chance to discuss this with him.
